Lead to Account Matching
For a Salesforce admin and user, here are the steps outlined in the document for setting up and utilizing the Lead-To-Account Matching functionality:
Matching Approaches
Lead to Account Domain Match:
Match leads and accounts based on their email and website domains.
Lead to Account Name Match:
Match leads to accounts based on the company name in the lead record.
Prioritization Score
Accounts must have a score higher than the minimum prioritization score to be considered a match.
Creating Rules
Create New Rule:
Click the "Create New" button to define new matching rules.
Enter a rule name, select lead and account fields, and set the score type and value.
Configure additional conditions such as "Consider Empty Fields Match" or "Exclude From Lead-to-Account Matching."
Rule Details:
Modify On: Displays the last modified date.
Lead Field: Lead record field used for matching.
Account Field: Account record field used for matching.

Delete Rule: Remove rules that are no longer needed.
Pagination:
Navigate through multiple pages of rules to view and manage them.
Duplicate Rules
Creating and Managing Duplicate Rules:
Navigate to "Duplicate Rules" in the Salesforce setup.
Create new rules or edit existing ones, specifying conditions and actions for duplicate detection.
Matching Rules:
Define how records are identified as duplicates, such as "Email Field, Exact Match" or "Account Name, Fuzzy Match."
Map fields between objects and set conditions for when the rule should run.
Activating Rules:
Save and activate the rule. Ensure all associated matching rules are active for successful activation.
Adjust the order of duplicate rules if multiple rules are active for the same object.
Zenroute Logs
Use Zenroute logs to identify, understand, and debug any issues with rule population.
Utilizing Lead-to-Account Matching
Accessing Matched Accounts
Account Field:
View the best-matched account reference on the lead record page.
Domain Field:
Automatically populated based on the lead's email.
Auto Create Account:
Enable this checkbox to create a new account if no match is found.
Execution Conditions
High Prioritization Score:
If the account's prioritization score exceeds the minimum score, the account is populated on the lead.
Low Prioritization Score:
If the score is below the minimum, no action is taken, and other accounts are checked.
No Matching Account:
If no account is returned and "Auto Create Account" is enabled, a new account record is created.
These steps ensure administrators and users can effectively set up and utilize the Lead-to-Account matching functionality, streamlining lead management and improving data accuracy.
