Matching Rules Screen

Features:

  1. Sync Button


    Syncs all active duplicate rules from the Salesforce Org, displaying them in the rules section.

2. Create Merge Rule

  • If no merge rule is available, the "Create Merge Rule" button will appear.

  • Redirects users to the org's Duplicate Rules page to create necessary duplicate rules.

3. Use Rules for Merging

  • Displays two boxes: "Available Matching Rules" and "Selected Merge Rules".

  • Available Matching Rules: Shows all active standard duplicate rules where auto merge is disabled.

  • Selected Merge Rules: Shows selected rules used for merging where auto merge is enabled.

  • Moving a rule from "Available Matching Rules" to "Selected Merge Rules" enables auto merge and vice versa.

Matching Rules Service

  • Clicking the Sync button syncs all active rules to the Available Matching Rules section.

  • Deactivated rules are removed from the Available Matching Rules section upon syncing.

  • Auto Merging: Uses matching rules with auto merge enabled to identify and merge duplicates.

  • Mass Merging: Uses selected matching rules with auto merge enabled for mass merging, considering DuplicateRecordSets under the DuplicateRule.

  • Lead To Account Matching: Uses active rules to match accounts for lead records, processing through the Prioritization rule to find the best-matched account.

These functionalities provide administrators with an efficient tool to manage records, saving valuable time and effort by automating the identification and merging of duplicate records.
