About Auto Merge And Mapping

The auto merge and mapping feature in the Zenroute Product is a powerful tool that automatically merges duplicate leads and maps fields based on predefined rules, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.

This seamless process is facilitated by the Auto Merge functionality, skillfully crafted by Athenalogics' esteemed team.

Administrators can easily create rules to automate merging tasks, streamlining the identification and merging of duplicate entries. This user-friendly interface saves valuable time and effort, enhancing overall productivity and data integrity.

Navigating to the Auto Merge And Mapping

To access the Auto Merge And Mapping module, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Zenroute record in Salesforce.

  2. Go to the Zenroute Side Panel.

  3. Check the "Auto Merge And Mapping" detail for the desired information.

Navigating to the Auto Merge And Mapping

Within this interface, administrators are provided with several options

  • "Enable Custom Merging" toggle to enable or disable Auto Merging. Additionally, a set of tabs is available:

  • A Set of Tabs:

    • Merging Tab: Used for managing custom merging rules.

    • Mapping Tab: Used for managing mapping rules for the field(s) required during any merge operation.

Auto Merge on Record Insert/Update:

When a record is inserted or updated, a duplicate record-finding operation is performed. The process depends on whether custom merging is enabled:

  1. Standard Merge Rules (Custom Merging Disabled): If custom merging is disabled, the operation uses standard merge rules where auto-merge is enabled on the Matching Rules page.

  2. Custom Auto Merge Rules (Custom Merging Enabled): If custom merging is enabled, the operation uses custom auto merge rules.

Once duplicate records are identified, they are merged, with the oldest record (based on the creation date) designated as the master record.

Merging Process

  • Each merge operation involves a maximum of two duplicate records at a time.

  • The merging process continues until all duplicate records are consolidated into a single master record.
